Summer Employment | Bethany Lutheran College is accepting applications for a limited number of summer jobs in housekeeping and grounds. Returning non-PSEO students who will be attending Bethany full-time for Fall 2025 may apply. Application materials were sent via email, and are also available at the reception desk in the Business Office (second floor) of Old Main. Please read these materials thoroughly as you apply. Deadline for completed applications is Monday, February 17th. You may scan completed applications to hr@blc.edu. |
Healthcare Professionals on Campus! Tue., February 18 | BOSS welcomes three healthcare workers Dr. Budahn (Family Medicine/OB), Dr. Peterson (Dentist) Dr. Friberg (General Surgery Resident) to MH 101 on February 18 at 7 p.m. They will be here to answer your questions about health care! Come and bring your questions and friends for an educational night. Snacks will be provided. |
Pro-life Sidewalk Ministry Training Tue., February 18 | Not sure whether sidewalk ministry is for you? Come and see! Learn peaceful, legal methods of saving babies from abortion through prayer, literature, and words of truth in love. If you can hand someone a brochure, you could save a life. Learning GitHub with BLOCS!!! (AND SNACKS!!!) Thu., February 20 | Thursday, February 20th, we will be putting on an event to teach students how to use GitHub. GitHub is a very useful tool that allows for collaboration on coding projects, and if you have any interest in working on a computer in the future, I highly suggest attending. As always, we will have SNACKS AND DRINKS!!! This will take place on February 20th from 7:30-8:30 PM in MH 222. |
State Grant Recipients Thu., February 20 | All students who are Minnesota State Grant recipients are asked to to attend a short meeting on Thursday, February 20 at 1:30 p.m. (Common Hour) in Meyer Hall 101. The purpose of the meeting is to learn about the status of this important financial aid piece, and how you can help ensure it stays fully funded by attending Bethany's Day at the Capitol. Please attend this important event. |
We Want Pancakes! | During the remaining regular season men's home basketball games Weggy's On Campus will be giving away free pancakes to the BLC student section if 10 or more 3-point field goals are scored in regulation. Come cheer on your Vikings and count-up to FREE Pancakes! |
Dr. Rob Hanna presentation | Dr. Robert C. Hanna, Prof. of English, will be providing an introduction to Christian apologist G. K. Chesterton. Dr. Hanna teaches Bethany’s “Christian Writers” course, which includes Chesterton’s detective stories with Father Brown and Gabriel Gale. The presentation will be on Monday., Feb. 24th from 7 - 8 p.m. in Meyer Hall 101. Part of the In Depth series. Everyone is invited to attend. |
Adult Lutheran Confirmation Classes | Chaplain Moldstad will begin a 6-7 week series of Lutheran Confirmation classes, starting on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 3:30 p.m. If you are interested in attending, please contact him by email. Everyone is welcome. |
Open Gym Pickleball! | Every Friday this month from 5:30-7:30 p.m. there will be nets set up for open gym pickleball in the south gym. There are extra paddles and balls available for use. Camp Counselors Needed | Camp counselors are needed for Camp Indianhead MN. This year there are two weeks of camp, from July 6-11 (high schoolers) at Lutheran Island Camp in Henning, MN and July 13-18 (grades 5-8) at Camp Omega near Waterville, Counselors are in charge of a cabin and participate in sports, games, campfires, worship, and study God's Word with campers. Counselors receive a stipend, travel reimbursement, and internship credit for some majors. If you are interested for one week or both, apply online at campindianhead.com/counselors/ or contact Pr. Stafford (sstafford@blc.edu) by April 15. |
