Today: Souper Bowl of Caring

As times have gotten tough, things have gotten harder for St. Andrews Mission Food Program in Monte Rio. The need for food is overwhelming.

You can make a difference! How?

On February 5th (today) you can help bring in canned foods and enjoy our pancake breakfast fundraiser (after the 8 am and 9:15 am services). All the proceeds will go to the St. Andrew’s Food Program. Let this year be our best ever!

Fifth Sunday after the Epiphany: Seeking After God

“Deep within us all there is an amazing inner sanctuary of the soul, a holy place, a Divine Center, a speaking Voice, to which we may continuously return. Eternity is at our hearts, pressing upon our time-torn lives, warming us with intimations of an astounding destiny, calling us home unto Itself.

It is a light within which illumines the face of God and casts new shadows and new glories upon our faces. It is a seed stirring to life if we do not choke it. It is the Shekinah of the soul, the Presence in the midst. Here is the slumbering Christ, stirring to be awakened, to become the soul we clothe in earthly form and action. And he is within us all.”  -Thomas Kelly

Suggested Reading: Psalm 91 * John 14:1-4

Consider: Welcome Christ’s spiritual coming into your inner most being.

February Guild Meeting: The Guild of the Incarnation business meeting on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 will begin at 11:30 am in Farlander Hall and will be followed by a potluck luncheon at 12:00 noon. After the luncheon we will have Chris Smith, a columnist with the Press Democrat speak to us. He writes very entertainingly about our local community so it should be an enjoyable program. Please join us!

The Men’s Group will meet this Wednesday, February 8, at 7 pm in the church. If you have been away on vacation or away because of the holidays, now is the time to join us as we start the New Year together! If you have considered attending but were unable to due to transportation issues, call and we will help with a ride. Our group explores the challenges men face in living their lives of faith in a safe, intimate environment. This is a time of support, friendship and fellowship. All Men are welcome and we hope to see you there. If you have any questions you can email mensgroup@incarnation-sr.org or call 703-4162.

Following the recital, those who would like are invited to a no-host dinner with the artist. A free will offering is requested to cover costs and support the purchase of the 32′ pedal stop, which will complete the Cassavant organ. The event is co-sponsored by the Redwood Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Please contact Harold Julander, 707-694-1896, for further information.

The Evening Women’s Gathering will meet on Tuesday, February 21 at 7:00 pm at the home of Marti Kennedy. All women are welcome to join us. We are a supportive group providing a place to share our lives and our spiritual journeys with each other, building friendships as we go. If you have any questions, please contact Donna Wiuff at 707-837-8768.

We hope you’ll take advantage of these great opportunities for connection and engagement.

We are currently seeking hosts for our Short Walk groups. If you would be interested in opening your home to and journeying with a small group of people please call Mitch at 703-4162 or email him at smallgroups@incarnation-sr.org.

HOW TO MAKE A HUGE IMPACT IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME

What can you do in four hours?

If you’re a Heavenly Treasures volunteer, you can provide free clothing and shoes to ten homeless women and their children. That’s the average number of Living Room clients that use our services in a four-hour period.

The number of Living Room clients has increased, and there’s tremendous need. Heavenly Treasures’ donations to Living Room clients increased by 18% in 2011.  In order to continue meeting their needs, there’s one thing we must have. That’s your time and talent. It’s this simple — we can’t continue to meet this increased need without new volunteers. All we’re asking for is a few volunteers willing to work one four-hour shift per month. And in that short four hours, you can help clothe ten women and their children.

To join our team, please call the store at 569-7448, email heavenlytreasures576@gmail.com, or talk to one of our dedicated volunteers.

Prayer with the Hands is a new small group that is forming! Have you ever wanted to prayerfully make Anglican Prayer Beads or Pocket Prayers? Come to an informational gathering on Saturday, March 3rd in Room 3 from 10 am to 12 pm. Hosted by Peggy Zimmerman and Vicki Garcia, we invite anyone interest to join us for coffee and tea and some tasty treats as we share with you our ideas for this group and invite your input.  Take a moment and visit the Small Group table in Farlander Hall and sign-up!

Biblical Archeology & the Essenes is a new study/worship small group focused on learning the ways and practices of the Essenes (Healers), known today as the Dead Sea Scrolls community. Our studies will investigate this third major sect of Judaism at the time of Christ, its influence on Jesus’ teachings in the Gospels, and on the formation of the Church’s mission. If you enjoy archeology and history consider joining us for what will be a thrilling time of worship and study! Visit the small group table in Farlander Hall and sign-up for more information.

Tell Out My Soul:

Exploring our Baptismal Covenant in Story

During five Lenten Thursdays (beginning 3/1 and continuing through 3/29) we’ll gather for a light supper, prayer and song, and a conversational exploration of what it means to say “I will with God’s help” to–

· Continuing the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers.

· Resisting evil, and repenting and returning to the Lord.

· Proclaiming by word and example the Good News of God in Christ.

· Seeking and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself.

· Striving for justice and peace among all people, and respecting the dignity of every human being.

We recommit to these practices at every baptism (check your BCP pp. 304-305), but what do they mean in contemporary language and life? Come hear your fellow Incarnation parishioners talk about how they understand and live out these commitments, and practice telling your own story of baptismal identity, faith and ministry using the tools of “Public Narrative.” Sessions begin with supper at 6:00, followed by a one hour long program. Facilitated by Julia McCray-Goldsmith and Adult Spiritual Formation.

Needed: People! Dear parishioners possessing many talents, we need you. Me? Yes, you! We have identified many needs at Incarnation and we would love for volunteers to come forward. Here are the following positions we have open:

1) Heavenly Treasures Volunteer(s). Like to shop? Then you’ll feel comfortable in our fabulous thrift store, Heavenly Treasures! Now you’ll be on the other side of the counter, ringing people up, and helping with donations.

2) Party Planners. Do you like to plan parties? If so we have a committee forming that you will absolutely love to be a part of!  Fun awaits you…

4) Graphic Designer. If you know how to do a little of this or that on Photoshop, the Welcome Committee needs you! We want to put together more polished looking print materials.

5) Bookstore. The Bookstore needs volunteers to help ring up people’s purchases. All it takes is the ability to do simple math and share a smile.

6) Hospitality. Are you hospitable, friendly, a good listener and/or chatty? We need you for an exciting new program!

Interested? Or possibly interested if you knew more about any of the above positions?  If so please speak to Stephanie Blair (stephchristel@gmail.com, 707-837-2972).

Just a reminder: it’s never too late to turn in your pledge card!

Sunday Announcements Jan.22, 2012

Filed under: Announcements — Mitch Garcia @ 8:15 am
Third Sunday after the Epiphany:

Letting Others Sustain Us

We must be willing to accept the bitter truth that, in the end, we may have to become a burden to those who love us. But it is necessary that we face this also. The full acceptance of our abjection and uselessness is the virtue that can make us and others rich in the grace of God. It takes heroic charity and humility to let others sustain us when we are absolutely incapable of sustaining ourselves. We cannot suffer well unless we see Christ everywhere-both in suffering and in the charity of those who come to the aid of our affliction.-Thomas Merton

Suggested Reading: Psalm 55:22 * 1 Corinthians 1:4-9

Consider: Look around you, who do you notice that needs help? Offer yourself in service to God.

Today is our Small Group Sunday, where we celebrate everything “Small Groups.” Mitch Garcia, our Small Groups Consultant, is guest preacher, and there are tables in Farlander Hall with informational materials, so you can explore the many kinds of Small Groups we have here at Incarnation, or learn how to start your own! What is a Small Group? A Small Group is simply a group of people who gather on a regular basis for friendship, conversation, and support. We offer Care + Support groups, Study + Reflection groups, Topics + Interest groups, and Prayer + Contemplative groups. For more info, contact Mitch Garcia at 703-4162 or email him at smallgroups@incarnation-sr.org.

The Men’s Group will meet this Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 7 pm in the church. If you have been away on vacation or away because of the holidays, now is the time to join us as we start the New Year together! If you have considered attending but were unable due to transportation issues, call and we will help with a ride. Our group explores the challenges men face in living their lives of faith in a safe, intimate environment. This is a time of support, friendship and fellowship. All Men are welcome and we hope to see you there. If you have any questions you can email  mensgroup@incarnation-sr.org or call 703-4162.

The January group practice session for Prayer of the Heart is Wed., Jan. 25, in the library, from 7:00 – 8:30pm.  All are welcome who wish to practice the Prayer of the heart (The Jesus Prayer) in a group setting.  Questions?  More info?  Call Lisa, 527-9549.

January Home Incarnation Conversations

We are having two remaining Home Incarnation Conversations in January. Please choose one from the list below, and call to confirm your attendance. We are looking forward to great conversations and sharing. This is the schedule (both start at 7 pm):

Jan. 24

Leader: Carla Baldassari (239-3943)

2651 Silver Stone Lane, Santa Rosa, CA 95407

Jan. 26

Leader: David Jasper (538-7220)

It’s that time of year… Come to the All-Parish Annual Meeting!  Next Saturday, Jan 28th - a reception bountiful with food, drink, and fun for all at 1 pm, followed by our business meeting at 2 pm. Childcare is available. We have much to be thankful for! Come and reflect on all we have done together in 2011, and we’ll look at how to move forward in the new year. We will cast that all-important vote for new Vestry members, and elect delegates to Diocesan Convention. This is one of those rare times where people from all three services are gathered at once, so come and enjoy our vibrant community!

Christmas Cards for Crafts: Please bring your ‘used’ Christmas cards to Farlander Hall. Next November, they will be distributed to The Living Room, a nursing facility, a preschool and the YWCA’s A Special Place, a preschool for at-risk children. It is amazing what they can do with them. These groups give us all a hearty thanks every year. There will be a container in Farlander Hall through January.

The Flower Chart for the year 2012 is now on the South wall near the back of the Church. You will find spaces after each Sunday date for each month. You can sign up for one or more dates. Someone from the office will call you to learn how you want your flowers noted in the bulletin. The flower offerings can be given in memory of someone, in Thanksgiving or in Celebration of some event, etc. The members of the Altar Guild will buy the flowers to arrange and place on the Reredos for the proper Sunday you have chosen. More than one family may sign up for any given Sunday. The cost for each Sunday is $50. Just put your check in the offering plate, marked “altar flowers,” or mail it to the Church Office.

Sharing the Wisdom of the Enneagram

Saturday February 4th, 2012

The Bishop’s Ranch, Healdsburg, CA (707-433-2440)

Fee: $105 per person, including lunch

Leader Bill Glenn, MA, MDiv, will provide an overview of the Enneagram, a thorough explanation of the nine strategies, or types, each strategy’s relationship to its complements (the wings), and the interwoven relationship of all nine types into a whole. Beginners will find the workshop both accessible and informative, and those already steeped in the Enneagram will find it an opportunity to deepen insight into its ongoing wisdom.

Small Groups presents a 6-week book study. Join Ken Blair (the Philosophy Group leader) and Mitch Garcia for an exciting and insightful time as we read, discuss, and argue about Peter Rollins new book “Insurrection.”

“Insurrection” proclaims that Christian faith is not an otherworldly faith interested in the possibility of life after death but rather is an invitation to discover the reality of life before death. In this incendiary work Rollins offers the reader a radical and wholesale critique of contemporary Christianity and shows us how belief in the Resurrection means but one thing: Participation in an Insurrection.

Stop by the Small Group table and pick up the introduction and the 1st chapter of Rollins book. You will find more information and a sign-up sheet for this study that will start in February. The study will be limited to 15 people.

Check out Incarnation’s Facebook page to view a few videos from Peter Rollins.

Short Walks: Want to try a Small Group but unsure about a long-term commitment? Our 3-week Short Walks are a great way to build relationships with others while unpacking scripture and learning more about God. We hope you’ll take advantage of these great opportunities for connection and engagement.

The Rule is an amazing resource that can help us live more fully into our Baptismal Covenant, more deeply into our life in Christ and with eyes, ears, and heart that seek God in the ordinary things of daily life. If you would like to learn more call me at 703-4162 or email smallgroups@incarnation-sr.org.

Words to Ponder:

To find the universal elements enough;

to find the air and the water exhilarating;

to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter;

to be thrilled by the stars at night;

to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring -

these are some of the rewards of the simple life.

Second Sunday after the Epiphany ~

The Kingdom of God is for Everyone

Throughout the life of Jesus and his ministry he gave us a model as to how we should respond to those who are in emotional, financial, and spiritual poverty. Jesus show us that relationships can be built when we offer a hand to share in one another’s human need.

Sunday Announcements Jan. 8, 2012

Filed under: Announcements — Mitch Garcia @ 12:39 pm
We are sad to report two recent deaths in the parish, and our heartfelt sympathies go out to both families:

Fern Guilford passed away on December 22, 2011 with her son Mike by her side. Mike and Margaret’s care and devotion to Fern proved the height of filial devotion. Fern’s funeral is scheduled for Saturday, January 14th at 1 pm.

Al Kane passed away on January 2, 2012 after a long struggle against multiple illnesses. His wife Lila was by his side. Al lived to see his anniversary, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve with his family around him. Our hearts go out to Lila and the family. First Sunday after The Epiphany-Theophany

The Orthodox Church celebrates the baptism of Jesus with an annual feast called Theophany. In Greek Literature, theophany describes an appearance of god to humanity. The Western Church celebrates this event during the season of Epiphany.

And when Jesus had been baptized, just as he came up from the water, suddenly the heavens were opened to him and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”    Matthew 3:16-17

Suggested Reading: Isaiah 43:1-7 * Mark 1:1-11

Consider: Reflect on the life and ways of Jesus. What does Jesus’ example mean for you in your journey now? How are the ways of Jesus reflected in the way you live your daily life?

Benedict’s Way meets this Tuesday in the Clergy Conference Room, 6:30-8 pm. We are a community that gathers to practice the Rule of Benedict. To support one another as we strive to quiet our lives in the busyness that is life. We are using the book “Monastery of the Heart” by Joan Chittister. Consider joining us for a time of reflection, contemplation, and fellowship. If you have any questions you can contact Mitch Garcia at smallgroups@incarnation-sr.org or call 703-4162. Come and join us, all are welcome.

The Men’s Group will meet this Wednesday, January 11th, at 7 pm in the church.

Centering Prayer will be starting up again on January 16th. If you have any question please contact Mitch Garcia at 707-703-4162 or  smallgroups@incarnation-sr.org.

The next Twilight Pipe Organ Mini Recital, held the second Friday of every month, will be on Friday, January 13th, 6:00 pm, approx. 1/2 hour in length. The featured artists will be Harold Julander, organist, Church of the Incarnation and Susan Witt-Butler, soprano, in selections of Vivaldi and other composers. Following the recital, those who would like are invited to a no-host dinner with the artist. A free will offering is requested to cover cost and support the purchase of the 32′pedal stop, which will complete the Cassavant organ. The event is co-sponsored by the Redwood Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (REAGO). Please contact Harold Julander, 707-694-1896, sub dean of REAGO, for further information.

The Evening Women’s Gathering will meet on Tuesday, January 17th at 7:00 pm at the home of Carol Martino. All women are welcome to join us. We are a supportive group providing a place to share our lives and our spiritual journeys with each other, building friendships as we go. If you have any questions, please contact Donna Wiuff at 707-837-8768.

The Bishop’s Ranch, Healdsburg, CA

Fee: $105 per person, including lunch

www.bishopsranch.org

The Enneagram Workshop led by Bill Glenn, MA, MDiv, will focus on explicating the wisdom of this spiritual and psychological system to those interested in further developing their awareness of the graced complexity of human nature and human relationship. Bill will provide an overview of the Enneagram, a thorough explanation of the nine strategies, or types, each strategy’s relationship to its complements (the wings), and the interwoven relationship of all nine types into a whole. Using anecdotes, illustrations from contemporary culture, both sacred and profane, with a generous dollop of humor, and some interactive work to boot, beginners will find the workshop both accessible and informative, and those already steeped in the Enneagram will find it an opportunity to deepen insight into its ongoing wisdom. Hopefully all will find it an aide in the development of a psychologically astute spiritual life. Leader: William D. Glenn MA, MDiv is a licensed psychotherapist and spiritual director practicing in Sonoma County. He was introduced to the Enneagram in 1978, and has worked with its intuitive principles both in his clinical and spiritual practice and as a workshop leader for over thirty years. A former Jesuit, Bill has worked extensively in schools, in health care, and in prisons. He has lectured extensively, and has been published in several magazines and anthologies.

Sunday Announcements Jan. 1, 2012

Filed under: Announcements — Mitch Garcia @ 7:55 am
January Guild Meeting: The Guild of the Incarnation business meeting on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 will begin at 11:30 am in Farlander Hall and will be followed by a potluck luncheon at 12:00 noon. The program will be presented by Doug Cross, a representative from Legal Shield. He will speak to us on the very important topic of identity theft. All are welcome to join us.

Epiphany Service and All-Parish Potluck Dinner! Adult Spiritual Formation and the Welcome Committee invite everyone to join us for a worship service on Epiphany, Friday, January 6th at 6pm.  Afterwards, at 7pm we will celebrate with an all-parish potluck dinner in Farlander Hall.  Please use the sign-up sheet in Farlander Hall to let us know what kind of dish you plan on bringing. Or email Andrea Bandy at JJBandy@cs.com to RSVP. If you can help with clean-up, please let us know that as well! We’d like to avoid needing to use paper plates and plastic utensils.  We hope to see everyone there for fun and fellowshipping! Who will be the lucky one to find the surprise in the Three Kings Cake?

Invitation to Epiphany: The Christmas story that we have shared over the years through narrative and tradition, paints rich images of men bringing treasure chests of gifts to the Christ child. Some people may think of them as foolish men, rather than “the three wise men.” Ponderously travelling through the desert, risking their lives on a “sign” in the sky seems more foolish than wise. In the end, it was their foolish wisdom that gave them sight to see the light of God breaking into a dark world. Consider: Slowly and intentionally pray the Lord’s Prayer, seeking to experience the deepest meaning of your relationship with God. Allow the words to penetrate your inmost being.

The Newsletter deadline is Friday, January 6th. This will be for the February/March/April issue. Anything having to do with Ash Wednesday, Lent, or Easter should be included. Email Cindy May at news@incarnation-sr.org to submit your piece. If you don’t have email but want to submit something, call Claire in the Church Office (707-579-2604).

Christian Contemplative Path Series: A contemplative orientation encourages moment by moment awareness and openness to God’s presence in all the changing circumstances of daily life.  This series is for anyone who desires a deepening relationship with God and a desire to live out of that relationship.  A number of different “ways in” (prayer forms) to entering God’s presence with one’s whole being will be offered.  The focus is on not only spiritual deepening but also growing compassion for others. Our intent is to learn to be open, receptive to God, to draw closer to God and each week we will attend to God with a different prayer form practice. Join Suzanne Kurtz in this six week series that will be on Saturday mornings in Room 3 from 9:30 – 11:30am, January 7th – February 11th, 2012. There are flyers and a sign-up sheet on the Small Group table in Farlander. We will be offering childcare if needed, so let us know. Don’t wait, there are only a few more spaces available!

Here’s your chance to be part of the giving to St. Andrews. Every year we fill 25 stockings and take them out to St. Andrews for a Christmas celebration. This year we have all kinds of goodies to put in the stockings. You can help by donating money towards what has already been purchased. Stop by and see what we have!

Please consider the following ideas for holiday gifts to The Living Room, a Day-Shelter for Homeless and At Risk Women and Children.

We need cash, checks and gift card donations for our program support needs. We would appreciate any “gift cards” from:

-Grocery stores (to buy milk for women and children)

-Phone cards for women to make long distance calls

-Discount stores (such as Costco, Dollar Store, etc.)

-Bus tickets: Santa Rosa Transit (543-3333) sells 50 Bus tickets for $60

-Motel vouchers to offer an emergency night of respite for women & families. We often use the Economy Inn, 545-3523, approx. $66 per night

As for actual items, we prefer small items and things that are easiest for us to store and distribute (especially since the staff are working reduced hours this holiday season). Examples:

-Women’s Socks

-Ponchos & umbrellas

-Pajamas for women and children

-Strollers for infants and toddlers

-Diapers, sizes 4, 5, 6

Board Members make holiday gift bags for teens and can use:

-Movie passes

-Wallets

-Small flashlights

-Socks

Thank You!

As The Scarf Project comes to an end for this year, I would like to thank all of the people who have contributed to its success:  Peggy, Terry, Marti, Diane, Julie, Mary, Lily, Vicki, Carol, Kathryn, Yvette, Lisa, Juliette, Jean, Tish, Beth, Sharon, Heather, Shan, Liz, David, Barbara, Catherine, Signe, Lisa, BJ, and those unknown knitters who have left handmade scarves for the project. All who made and contributed scarves, bought and gave yarn, contributed money or just encouraged us deserve recognition for their efforts. This has truly been a community project. Many, many thanks for all your help! If you have scarves yet to contribute, get them to meas soon as you can. We will be distributing them to the Open Table folk at Christmas and need a little time to get organized! In case you are wondering, we have accumulated more than 150 scarves so far! 2) Party Planners. Do you like to plan parties? If so we have a committee forming that you will absolutely love to be a part of!  Fun awaits you…

3) Welcome Center Volunteer. Claire still really needs people to help in the Welcome Center by answering phones, making photocopies, handling mail, etc.

Calling All Ministry Leaders! Our website is filled with important information about our church and about the many ministries here at Incarnation. Your Website Ministry Team would appreciate your help in updating your ministries info. Please take a moment and review what we have on our website about your ministry and if there is any outdated or incorrect information, please contact Mitch (smallgroups@incarnation-sr.org) to send along any changes or updates. Thank you!

Create your own Small Group. Did you know that we have over 14 small groups here at our church? There is always room for one more. If you have an idea for a small group or have been thinking “wouldn’t it be great to share my joy for (fill in the blank) with others”, then consider starting your own Small Group. On the Small Group table in Farlander Hall is a flyer with information for anyone who is interested in creating their own Small Group. If you would like to share and discuss your idea with me, call or email me (Mitch Garcia) at 707- 703-4162 or  smallgroups@incarnation-sr.org.

Ever wanted to ask Fr. Matt a question about theology, or have him expound more fully on some point in his sermon? Did you know we have an Ask the Rector webpage? Go to our website and look for Fr. Matt’s picture. Follow the “Ask the Rector” link to see the questions that other people have submitted and Fr. Matt’s answers. Click on the letter icon to submit your own question to Fr. Matt.

To all who use the church campus for meetings, etc: This is just a reminder that it is mutually beneficial for you to check with Claire in the Church Office when you want to use a room here on campus (the Church sanctuary included). It can get awkward, disruptive, and frustrating (for all concerned) when one group walks in on another. So please, before you plan to use a room at the church, check with Claire in the Church Office (Claire@incarnation-sr.org or 707-579-2604 ext. 104), and everyone will be on the same page. Thank you!!

Sharing the Wisdom of the Enneagram

Saturday, February 4th, 2012

The Bishop’s Ranch, Healdsburg, CA

Fee: $105 per person, including lunch

Numina Presents: Renaissance Glory

A Concert of Music for the Christmas Season

with the Festival Consort

Saturday, December 17th, 2011, 3 pm

Church of the Incarnation

$15 General Admission

As the temperature falls and we head toward Christmas, the Festival Consort once again offers its favorite Yuletide songs and instrumental works-some by serious composers of the middle ages and renaissance, and some by writers of carols and folk songs. Soprano Carol Menke and countertenor Chris Fritzsche will be joined by instrumentalists Joanna Bramel Young, David Hogan Smith, Alan Paul, and Robert Cronin, playing on consorts of recorders, crumhorns and shawms. Other instruments on the program are sackbut, pipe & tabor, guitar, curtal, douçaine, and a set of schreyerpfeiffen. All of the instruments are authentic replicas. One of the members of the group, Robert Cronin, is an internationally known builder of shawms. David Hogan Smith is a master reed maker, who maintains all of the double reed instruments.

If you have scarves yet to contribute, get them to me as soon as you can. We will be distributing them to the Open Table folk at Christmas and need a little time to get organized!  In case you are wondering, we have accumulated more than 150 scarves so far! Again, many, many thanks for your help!  -Debora Leitner (707-523-1536).

Pageant time is here for the Christmas Eve 4:00 pm service. We still have a few parts left, email Daphne to sign up. We are looking for some wise men, innkeepers, a shepherd, sheep and angels, all ages come one come all. Be a part of the fun. Contact Daphne at youthmin@incarnation-sr.org.

Please donate to the Coat Drive for our Open Table program. A warm coat or rain jacket is very much appreciated by those who are homeless or live in unheated housing. There is a box for them in Farlander Hall.

-Socks

Thank You!

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ERIC for all his hard work and support.

Bring a Friend to Church! The Holidays are for some a wonderful time of the year, and for others a not-so-wonderful time as they are dealing with loneliness, loss or one of the many hardships of life. Your friends and family members need you in ways you might not fully know until you ask or spend time with them. This Advent Season, we invite you to spend time thinking about and praying for people dear to you, to both celebrate all that is good in their lives, and for healing however needed. Today and next Sunday, Father Matt will be leading us in devotionals to give us time to reflect on others. If you are so moved, please invite those family and friends whom you have been praying for to join you for church on the fourth Sunday of Advent, December 18th. We hope that Incarnation will be their spiritual home for the Holidays as we share God’s love and gift of peace with them.

If you don’t get everything you want,

think of the things you don’t get that you don’t want.
