Sunday Announcements May 30, 2010

Filed under: Announcements — admin @ 9:43 am

Don’t forget, this Sunday we change to our Summer Schedule: 8 am and 10 am Sunday Services. We will go back to our three-service schedule on September 12th, 2010.

Today, rain or shine: Celebrate our Graduates after the 10am service at our Safe Summer Fair & BBQ! Burgers, dogs, salads, and fun! Bouncy house! Velcro wall! Church of the Incarnation hats for sale! Come on down! (Note: shorts are recommended for use with the Velcro wall, it makes it easier to get into the special suit).

The Pictorial Directory: Spots are going quickly
and we would love to have every member of our congregation represented in our new pictorial directory. Every family that sits for a free photography session will also get a free 8×10 photo, not to mention the directory itself! This is also an excellent way to take advantage of a professional photography session to have pictures for Christmas cards, etc, as additional pictures may be purchased if you wish.  June 2 through June 5. Even if you can’t make these dates, see Stephanie Blair (StephChristel@gmail.com) or Amy Nykamp (707-484-3820 or jmn@sonic.net) and let them know – there may be additional dates scheduled in the near future.

Please note that the Church Office will be closed on Monday, May 31st, in observance of Memorial Day.

All Church Members are welcome: The Guild of the Incarnation holds its monthly meeting Tuesday, June 1 in Farlander Hall at 11:15am. There will be a potluck luncheon of salads and desserts at noon followed by our annual Fashion Show. Come have some fun and see some of the wild outfits we create off the racks from Heavenly Treasures!!

The Prayer of the Heart Group June meeting is Tuesday, June 1, 7:30 – 9:00 pm, in the church. All are welcome who want to practice the Prayer of the Heart (the Jesus Prayer) in a group. If any questions, or for more information, please contact Lisa Jang, 707-527-9549.

A message from the “Things get worse before they get better” Department: from June 7th through the 11th there will be grinding and repaving of Cherry Street. There will be little to no vehicle traffic between 7am and 4pm on those dates. Please plan accordingly if you are coming to the church during that week.

Save the date: Organ Recital June 11th! Once again, we delight you with our Second Friday of the Month Organ Recital Series. Starts at 6 pm, ½ hour recital. It’s a great way to start your weekend! More info to come soon.

Camping: fun, fun, fun! Incarnation members are going camping together during the weekend of June 25-27 at Hendy Woods State Park. You can choose to play in God’s playground by swimming in the swimming hole or hiking, or you can relax in the midst of his Creation, or do it all! Space is limited so sign up soon by calling Stephanie Blair at 707-837-2972, or by emailing her at StephChristel@gmail.com. Cost will depend on the final number of people who sign up, but is anticipated to be about $20 per person.

Join us for our Summer Chamber Concert Series! Here at the Church, on the 3rd Sundays of June, July, and August.

Each concert begins at 4 pm and is followed by a reception and a chance to meet with the artists.
