Anam Cara (soulfriend) is a group that gathers weekly to spend time in silent, meditative/contemplative prayer, and in discussing ancient and contemporary spiritual practices and disciplines that lead us to a deeper responsiveness to God. What is Contemplative Prayer?

Prayer of the Heart

We meet about once a month, to practice the Prayer of the Heart (The Jesus Prayer) together, to support and enhance our individual practice (if we have one).  Everyone who wishes to practice the Prayer of the Heart in a group is welcome. To learn more you can contact Lisa Jang at poh@incarnation-sr.org .

Centering Prayer

This community meets every Monday from 5:00 - 6:15 pm in the Clergy Conference Room. Centering Prayer is a technique of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God's presence within us. This practice of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. All are welcome! For more information please contact Eric Erickson at cprayer@incarnation-sr.org. Holistic Prayer

Come and explore ways to promote the balance of body, mind, and spirit in your daily life by reflecting on the healing stories of Jesus and developing a philosophy of self-care that is based on a holistic approach. We’ll read and meditate on the healing stories of Jesus from a new perspective of God’s desire to bring wholeness to our lives and our relationships. We’ll consider a holistic approach to health which is a philosophy of care that includes a healthy life style and a healthy self-image where one is open to a wide range of approaches that foster and maintain health and harmony of the body, mind, and spirit.
