Philosophy Small Group at Incarnation

Philosophy Group

Come check out the philosophy reading and discussion group.  Philosophy is traditionally defined as the love of wisdom, but the most famous philosopher of antiquity (Socrates) claimed to know nothing at all.  In the same spirit, Proverbs 3:5 warns that human understanding may not be so firm as we believe it to be.  Philosophy studies matters that are elusive,  yet there is something satisfying about the activity of exploring itself.  Join a group where you can explore the limits of your understanding and look deeper into questions about knowledge, truth, justice, being and ethics.  We will read texts as a group and come together to ask questions and discuss them in a spirit of openness and inquiry. We gather once a month for great conversation and spiritual stimulation, please email philosophy@incarnation-sr.org for more information and the date of our next meeting.

Golf Community at Church of the Incarnation

Prayer with the Hands

We are community who create Prayer Beads and Pocket Prayers, so that we can share them with our Pastoral Care community and they in turn can offer them to those who are shut-ins, in the hospital or may be recovering at home. We are a prayerful community and offer our talent to the Lord for the sake of others.

Our handmade items will be available to the congregation; if you know someone that would benefit from the Prayer Beads or Pocket Prayers or if you would like to be a part of this group, please contact Peggy Zimmerman or Vicki Garcia at smallgroups@incarnation-sr.org. This group meets monthly.

The workshop is for those who are beginners, intermediate future artists of all ages. You will develop love for your personal artwork, overcoming any fears that you might have.

The Art Workshop will provide you with the opportunity to explore different mediums, such as: charcoal, pastels, color pencils, watercolors, acrylics and silks in a caring, playful and loving environment. We are looking at offering another round of classes in the Fall.
